A Little Bit About Me

Hello and Welcome.

I’m happy you have chosen to spend a little time on our site.

I am hoping you will feel at home here.  My vision for this space is not only to share with you the books I am working on but also ideas you can use to enhance, uplift and empower you in your own life.

I have been an obsessive reader ever since I can remember. I would read everything I could get my hands on….comic books, historical novels, mystery, ghost stories, books on art and comedy that my parents had.

These days, parents are telling their kids “no phone at the dinner table.” My Mom was forever telling me to “get that book away from the table.” I was the kid in class with the textbook propped up to hide the trashy novel I was reading.

In my 20’s I began reading books on spirituality and self help….self empowerment.  One of the first books was called Everything I Know I Learned In Kindergarten.  Thus began my quest to ‘find myself”.  I’ve discovered the quest never ends and the adventure and insights are amazing.

My wonderful hubby and I live in a small town right in the centre of British Columbia, Canada where we raised our four wonderful kids. We have moose, bear, coyotes and deer wandering through the yard at various times and incredible family and friends who also wander through.

We have winter at least 5 months out of the year and, although it has its own incredible beauty, I am a beach gypsy at heart. Hubby and I love to travel. We have been to Egypt twice and all over the U.S. and Caribbean. Itchy feet and adventure call.

We have many great cooks in our circle of friends and family so it’s easy to become a foodie. We host parties for any reason simply because we love to get people together to laugh, eat, play music, dance and sing. Hmmm. The stirrings of a new book have begun to percolate.

My ideas for the books I write come from everywhere; the life we live, my own journey, our friends, children, 6 amazing grandchildren, challenges met and overcome. Stay tuned…the list of books I want to write is long and continues to grow as if it had a life of its own.

I believe in my heart that we are all connected on a spiritual level, not only to humanity, but to the planet and all the beings living upon her. In my day-to-day life I strive to love unconditionally, to judge nothing, to not take myself to seriously, to be grateful for everything, to play and laugh and to remember that I am a spiritual being having a human experience. So far, I am getting it about 50% of the time.
